The ADA has established that every facility covered by Title III has to have at least one handicap parking place. After that, it has determined that a specified number of handicap spaces must be included for each set number of regular parking stalls. Each parking lot must have at least one parking stall accessible to vans. If the lot has more than eight spaces, it needs to have at least one van-accessible space for every eight handicap-accessible parking stalls.

Asphalt Patching

Asphalt patching or surface patching is part of the preventative maintenance process done when potholes occur. It is also done when the asphalt has widespread cracking even though the base of the asphalt is still intact. Patching is a cheaper alternative to asphalt removal and replacement but has a shorter life expectancy. Our team will thoroughly clean the area. We will then apply a hot tack coat to all surface areas to ensure the new asphalt adheres to the old asphalt. Finally, we will apply a hot, new layer of asphalt to the area to then be compacted.

Asphalt Removal and Replacement

Asphalt removal and replacement solve the same problem as asphalt patching. This process involves thoroughly cleaning the area and using saw-cutting techniques to cut out all the old asphalt. We may also use infrared patching techniques to heat up and re-melt the damaged asphalt. The rest of the process is similar to asphalt patching. A hot tack coat is applied to all surface areas, and a new layer of asphalt is applied and compacted afterward.
